2015 marked the 30th anniversary of Temasek Management Services (TMS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings. The company commenced operations in January 1985 with the strategic mission of supporting various government related initiatives. Over the years, TMS developed learning platforms and integrated shared services to support talent development and the growth of its clients' businesses. As it matured, TMS continued to invest in grooming Asian talent through its leadership development and thought leadership entities: Wealth Management Institute, Stewardship Asia and TMS Academy. The company also expanded its offerings of business services delivering first-rate corporate secretarial, payroll, accounting, administrative secretariat, event management and IT services via its other subsidiaries: Trusted Board, Trusted Services and Trusted Source.
In May 2015, TMS hosted two dinners - one for its valued clients and business partners and one for its staff of over 250, to show appreciation for 30 years of support and collaboration. Both events were held on the grounds of the beautiful Alkaff Mansion on the hills of Telok Blangah. The evening affairs were made even more special because all the entertainment and gifts were planned and executed by TMS employees. There were beautiful violin and piano performances, moving songs in English and Chinese, Bollywood dancing and even TMS-styled cookies baked by the staff as gifts for the guests. Every detail of these milestone anniversary celebrations had a personal touch and turned out to be memorable occasions marking TMS' past achievements and future aspirations.
The anniversary logo, designed by TMS's own staff, Low Keong Keong and Sandra Tan, symbolises the people of TMS energetically striding forward together. The design of the number "30" embodies the courageous hearts, innovative minds and dynamism of the members of the TMS family. Blue is the colour of TMS, while magenta represents vibrancy.
As early as the 1990s, TMS built an executive development arm offering organisational management seminars and it was among the first companies to run leadership development programmes in Singapore.
